MANTRA (Man-Made Textiles Research Association), established in 1977 and approved by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, is a leading textile research and innovation institution recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO) by DSIR.

With Centres of Excellence in Technical Textiles, Nonwovens, Coating & Lamination, and Agrotech, MANTRA supports the textile industry through R&D, testing, product development, consultancy, training, energy auditing, and environmental compliance services. Our NABL-accredited laboratories and specialized facilities help industries develop innovative, high-performance, and sustainable textile products.

MANTRA actively promotes sustainability and circular economy practices in textiles through resource efficiency, waste valorization, recycling, cleaner production technologies, energy conservation, and environmental management solutions.
